John Reeve Moller
Newland, Tarlton & Co. Safari Guide
John
Moller has devoted his life to exploring and preserving Africa.
He is well known and respected for his vast knowledge of wildlife,
traditional cultures and the ”African Bush” having
led expeditions into the most remote parts of Sudan, Ethiopia,
Zaire, Uganda, Somalia, Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania. He is revered
by the nomadic peoples of Africa, because of his ability to communicate
and his innate understanding of, and respect for, their lifestyle
and culture.
John assists the Kenya Wildlife Service with dangerous animal
management, and was appointed Honorary Game Warden by
the government of Southern Sudan. Because of John's experience
in the most remote areas of Africa, he has been called on to
perform emergency reconnaissance for humanitarian relief
missions for the United Nations. He also has just recently
worked with the US State Department1s Anti-terrorist Assistance
Program in Pakistan & Baghdad. John is a skilled
bush doctor equipped to handle any emergency, and often
treats remote peoples who might otherwise never receive emergency
medical care.
Kenya born and a fluent speaker of KiSwahili,
John is famous for his sense of humor, hearty laugh, and companionship.
He enjoys taking clients on the adventure of a lifetime, giving
them a unique and memorable safari experience. He seeks the unusual
and beautiful, and will put the extra time in to create the perfect
safari experience. John enjoys energetic game drives, and game
walks, as well as a good nap under an acacia tree at noon.
As a senior guide with Newland, Tarlton & Co. and Planet’s
Best Safaris, John has created his own unique safari programs
which he calls "A Walk
Back in Time".
