What is included in the price of the safari?
Accommodation
in the best available twin-bedded tent/rooms at full board everywhere
except in Nairobi, where bed and breakfast rates apply; all casual
meals detailed in the itinerary and all service charges related
to accommodations and meals. In private camps, all mineral water,
sodas, beers, hard liquor and wine is included - champagne, however,
is not. Please feel free to bring your own special brands and
vintages. Also included are all game drives, park entry fees,
camping fees, all transport by 4-wheel-drive safari vehicles with
roof hatches, and the services of Africa's finest safari crews,
with daily laundry service in camp; and of course, a guide for
every vehicle.
The safari period is from the day prior to departure from Nairobi
(set-up day), until the day of completion of the safari (take-down
day), both days inclusive. Extra days spent in Kenya or elsewhere
will be charged at cost. We reserve the right to substitute campsites,
hotels and/or lodges and to alter the itinerary should this be considered
necessary or advisable. Should exceptional circumstances arise,
we reserve the right to alter its quotation, particularly relating
to currency fluctuations and fuel costs.
What is not included in the price of the safari?
Gratuities
to staff and extra guides, items not specifically quoted for or
of a personal nature, Air Kenya flights, air charters, landing
fees for charter aircraft, special flights in the Waco biplane,
hot air balloons, international flights to and from Kenya, or within
Africa, airport departure taxes, entry visas, laundry at hotels
charging for the service and charges for telephone calls or faxes
sent via Donald Young Safaris, Ltd.
Do I need any special shots before my safari?
Requirements
vary dramatically at various times in all of the countries. At
the present, no inoculations are required for Kenya. Tanzania
requires yellow fever shots and it must be on your international
health card. We recommend that you consult your local medical officials
for up-to-the-minute requirements.
